A Bridge Too Far

Why are some people stupid?

When it’s very easy to be wise- just think of something stupid to say and say the opposite.
Take the government of India’s stand on the Ram Sethu. If this is the way the Congress plans to take on the BJP’s Ram fascination then they are highly mistaken. Say that the Ram Sethu is a natural formation and that there is no evidence that the God in question actually went over this bridge to that Lanka but saying that Ram is a myth seems like the stupidest thing people in power would do this week.

In 2002 when NASA discovered something that looked like the bridge that the Lord and his army might have constructed, they just said that they don't have any comment on it and that was enough. The newspapers talked about it and how maybe Ram did exist in flesh and blood as he does in our sub-conscious but the issue was soon forgotten. But not this time....

The radar is over-flowing with inane stupid debates already and this just made it to the top of the darn list. Why can’t some people have the basic brains and read the fine print? Here we have some over-zealous IAS officer who in order to sound more important that he/ she is goes ahead without using an iota of the brain that wasn’t drained to the west. Now we have to deal with stupid observation that could have been avoided. As it is the Parliament didn’t work thanks to the 123 issue and now when they convene again we might just have to wait for Lord Ram to intervene. In the meantime the government can consider something that Albert Einstein once noted, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
